Vania King - President
Vania is a former professional tennis player, reaching career high rankings of #3 in doubles and #50 in singles. A two time Grand Slam champion, Vania won the 2010 Wimbledon and US Open Women’s Doubles Championships. She serves at the Executive Director of Serving Up Hope, a nonrpofit organization that provides tennis programs for underserved children around the world, consultant for the Women’s Tennis Association and Women’s Tennis Benefit Association, and Director at Large of the USTA.

Lopa Patel Zielinski - vice president
Lopa is Managing Director & EVP, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel, Corporate Governance at HSBC USA /LATAM. She is responsible for all corporate governance matters relating to US Boards and subsidiaries, and oversees LATAM Boards and governance within the complex HSBC global legal entity structure. She is a member of the US Executive Committee and separately a member of the global HSBC Corporate Governance & Secretariat Executive Committee. She is the Executive Sponsor for the (US) Asian and Pacific Islanders Committee. Lopa has an extensive background and a wide range of experience in corporate governance, board counsel, and securities and financial regulation. She has received wide industry recognition for her work in the legal field, and in 2022 was a recipient of the prestigious Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business award, presented by the Asian American Business Development Center. Lopa played NCAA Division I tennis at Lehigh University, where she was named to the All-Patriot League team (two-time) and the first Asian American in the history of Lehigh Women’s tennis to receive this honor. She serves on the Board of Directors of USTA Eastern and is also a member of a USTA national committee.

Perren Wong - Treasurer
Perren serves as a Managing Director, Head of Private Banking Operations at Morgan Stanley out of New York. He is the Chairman of the Board and Delegate of USTA Eastern. At the national level, Perren serves as chair of the USTA Section Delegate’s committee and is a member of the USTA Budget committee.

Ryan Redondo - Secretary
Ryan comes from a distinguished professional tennis playing family in Southern California and was a high level college player and college coach. He is currently the Tournament Director at the ATP/WTA events in San Diego, the General Manager of the Barnes Tennis Center, one of the largest tennis facilities in CA, the Chair of the USTA Southern California DEI Committee, and the CEO of Youth Tennis San Diego, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that runs tennis outreach programs to thousands of youth in San Diego.

Jessie Pegula
Jessie is a professional tennis player, Olympian, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She is the highest ranked American player, reaching career high rankings of #3 in singles and doubles. She has won 2 WTA singles titles, 5 WTA doubles titles, is a three-time Grand Slam singles quarterfinalist and a Grand Slam doubles finalist. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Jessie has four siblings and three pups.

Rajeev Ram
Rajeev is a professional tennis player, Olympian, five-time Grand Slam Champion, and former #1 doubles player in the world. Residing in Indiana, Rajeev has won 35 ATP Tour titles (3 in singles and 32 in doubles) and was a Silver Medalist in Mixed Doubles at the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics, partnering with Venus Williams. He is the founder of EntouRaj for Kids, a nonprofit organization which promotes youth tennis and funds high school teams in Indiana.

Dana Mathewson
Dana Mathewson is a professional wheelchair player, Olympian, and 2022 Wimbledon Wheelchair Doubles Grand Slam Champion. She is the first woman to win a major wheelchair singles title and the top ranked American wheelchair player. Dana reached career high rankings of #9 in singles and #4 in doubles. A two-time Paralympian, she played and attended the University of Arizona where she completed an undergraduate and graduate degree, the latter in Audiology, and is currently completing her doctorate. Born in San Diego, California, Dana loves traveling, crafting and escape rooms.

David Lee
David Lee is the current USTA committee chair for Advocacy, and is also the Board President for the largest CTA in Maryland, the Montgomery County Tennis Association. David also works as Senior Marketing Consultant for WJLA - ABC7 TV in Washington DC, which is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. He is also a USPTA certified professional and is a dedicated community advocate for tennis, social justice and DEI initiatives in the DC metro area.

Kathleen Wu
Kathleen is a Real Estate/Finance attorney with the global law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth, and has served in numerous leadership positions within her firm. She is the current President of the USTA Foundation and a frequent writer, speaker and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal profession and beyond. Her work has earned her recognition from a variety of organizations, including the National Diversity Council and the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce–Southwest.

Andi Chu
Andi Chu is Vice President and Editor in Chief at Tennis Channel. She oversees the network’s non-linear content and operations activity, including its production of video and editorial content, TennisChannel.com, Tennis.com and Baseline websites, OTT streaming-service Tennis Channel Plus, print Tennis Magazine, and all social media endeavors. In 2019, Andi was honored with the Cynopsis Top Women in Media Award. In 2020 she was honored with Broadcasting & Cable’s Women in the Game Award. Prior to Tennis Channel, Chu spent six years at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) overseeing digital content. Before that, she was a Film and TV executive at major studios in LA.

Michelle Yu
Michelle is an Emmy Award winning journalist, news anchor, broadcaster, emcee and author. She has worked with notable broadcasting outlets such as SportsNet New York, NY1 and most recently, Law and Crime TV. She is a recreactional tennis player and her favorite tennis player is Rafael Nadal.

Christine Stromberg
Christine Stromberg has over 10 years experience in tennis operations and management. She is currently the Director of US Open Player Operations and Services for the US Open, where she oversees the US Open Player Operation, manages 200 staff members, oversees and manages strategic relationships with key US Open stakeholders, and leads cross-functional collaboration with US Open departments for successful execution of the US Open. She has held various roles at the USTA, including Senior Manager and Manager of Pro Tennis Operations and Coordinator, where she was responsible for player relations, strategic planning, budget management, event execution, and team management. She also has experience as a Director and Program Coordinator at the Atkins Tennis Center and Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex at the University of Illinois, where she managed all operations of the Atkins Tennis Center. Christine has a Master of Science in Recreation, Sport and Tourism and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Sport and Tourism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Christine has served on committees including as the Women’s BRG co-chair at the USTA, Advisory Council at the Business of Sports School in NYC, WISE Program committee, and Johnny Mac Tennis Project Advisory Council.
Christine competed as a member of the women's tennis team at Ball State University before transferring and competing for the University of Illinois. -

Devi Smith
Devi is the Co-founder of TokkiSports/Tokkitennis and Tokki Catalyst Foundation and is Director of Strategic Accounts at Silicon Valley-based tech firm, Conviva. With a 20-year career spanning senior roles in Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations, she has been a contributor to the growth of the Mobile and Streaming video industries working with some of the largest brands and publishers through companies such as Disney, LG Electronics, Conviva, and Accedo. Devi has also been part of three startup teams. Growing up on the public courts of Southern California, she earned a full scholarship to Manhattan College, where she played D1 tennis.

Alexis Colvin
Dr. Alexis Chiang Colvin is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Associate Dean for Alumni Affairs at Mount Sinai. She is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in surgical treatment of knee, shoulder and hip disorders. A graduate of Princeton University, she received her medical degree from Mount Sinai and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Colvin is the Chief Medical Officer for the US Open and was previously the Chief Medical Officer for the United States Tennis Association.

Helen Yep
Helen Yep has 35 years of extensive sales experience in the high-tech industry. For 15 of those years, she served in senior sales leadership roles, building and leading high-performing sales teams and driving complex sales across many customer verticals at top companies including Autodesk, HP, Cisco, VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Databricks, a data and AI startup. Known for her commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE), Helen championed mentorship, collaboration, and organizational growth until she retired in 2023.
An avid tennis player for over 18 years, Helen has supported and helped organize community tennis events and led fundraising initiatives for children with disabilities.

Mike Okamoto
Mike Okamoto was born in San Diego, California, to parents of Japanese-Irish descent. Growing up as an Asian American, Mike experienced firsthand the challenges of cultural identity and acceptance. From being teased for his last name to navigating the complexities of his heritage, he found strength in his family’s history, including his father’s experiences during the Pearl Harbor attack and the era of Executive Order 9066.
Mike graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and began his career in retail with The Home Depot. Over the course of 16 successful years, he held numerous leadership roles before joining Starbucks, where he has spent the last 16 years cultivating his passion for mentorship and organizational development.
Starting in Orange County, California, Mike has held various leadership positions at Starbucks, including District Manager, Regional Director, Regional Vice President, and his current role as Director of Business Operations for the U.S. His career has taken him across Southern California, Arizona, and Hawaii. Inspired by the need for greater Asian American representation in leadership, Mike founded the first Pan-Asian Partner Network Chapter in Southern California eight years ago. Under his leadership, the initiative has grown to include 14 chapters across the U.S. and Canada, where Mike continues to serve as a mentor and advisor on the national leadership team.
Guided by his personal purpose to “experience joy and positively impact others,” Mike takes pride in helping partners (employees) achieve their career aspirations through mentorship, coaching, and advocacy.
Outside of work, Mike and his wife Vickie, married for 29 years, enjoy hiking, cycling, beach outings, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends. They have two sons, Jordan (27) and Jason (24), who remain a central part of their lives.
