USTA Eastern Asian American Pacific Islander Tennis Month Event

NEW YORK CITY, May 13, 2023 – On May 13th, 2023, an event in collaboration with the Asian American Pacific Islander Tennis Association and USTA Eastern was hosted at Cunningham Tennis in Queens in recognition of AAPI Heritage Month. The celebration featured free food from AAPI vendors Patok by Rach and The Boiis Co., tennis for all, cultural activities and an exhibition featuring Two-Time Grand Slam Doubles Champion Vania King and Former World No. 87 Kristie Ahn.

We were grateful to have assemblywoman Nily Rozic and state senator John Liu proclaim it National Tennis Month! Dr. Cindy Sadikot spoke to the crowd about the mental and physical benefits of tennis, and specifically addressed health risks that affect the Asian community at higher rates.
